Hello there, I am Jelle Adyns.
I'm a belgian developer who studied DAE (Digital Arts & Entertainment) at Howest in Kortrijk.
I have always loved the world of games, but I only got into programming after high school. I'm glad I did, because that's where I found my passion.
C++ was the first language I came in contact with and I immediately fell in love with it. Most people would say being a perfectionist is both a curse and a blessing, but when using C++, it's definitely the latter. I speak from experience ;).
What appealed to me the most during my studies was when we learned the basics to engine programming. We had to create a basic 2D engine supported by various programming patterns. This has sparked my interest and currently, I'm working on my own 2D engine only using the Windows SDK (read more about this in 'The JelA Engine').
I already made some games with it as well. I'm not doing this to create the 'best engine ever', but as a way of diving deeper into C++. It has been an interesting and valuable ride so far.
I can't wait to help people out by applying my knowledge in the field.
